The reason for the purchase of this minibus is not known. It may have been to supplement the Commer 12-seaters but, when the Corporation transport undertaking ceased to exist, it was transferred to WMPTE rather than to Coventry District Council. It has not been possible to identify the engine with certainty, but the engine specified is considered to be the most likely from a trawl of the available literature.
