Coventry's Guy Buses

The details of buses described in this section have been assembled mainly from information described by Denton and Groves [1,2], with other details extracted from Peter Gould [3].  Other information sources have also been used to verify specific details, chiefly T W Moore [4], A A Townsin [5] and Roger Bailey [6].

During the second World War, Coventry Corporation had to accept what was offered through the Ministry of Supply.  The Guys were supplied to the wartime "Utility" standard.  They were all delivered in 1943, 1944 and 1945.  All the pictures of Guys are taken from Roger Bailey's book Coventry Transport 1940 - 1974.
