Coventry's Daimler Buses

The details of buses described in this section have been assembled mainly from information described by Denton and Groves [1,2], with other details extracted from Peter Gould [3].  Other information sources have also been used to verify specific details, chiefly T W Moore [4], A A Townsin [5] and Roger Bailey [6].

The first Daimler was a single deck demonstrator, hired from Daimler in 1929 and purchased a year later.  Unless otherwise stated, all Daimler buses had a fluid flywheel and pre-selector gearbox.
